Just bought a new mattress and I need to make sure its safe from several cats.

I bought sheets of course but i have yet to buy a comforter/duvet and I want to protect those too

I have one that will vomit occasionally and often twice and another can be a bit of a furniture scratcher aha

The mattress can be protected by covering it with something the cats will scratch without damaging the mattress underneath. I recently bought a new mattress and added canvas pieces to the corners to protect it from damage, because that's where the cat scratched my old mattress. But, the sheets are going to get ripped, that's just part of living with an untrainable, clawed beast.

However, my cat has not been scratching my bed. I can only imagine he doesn't like the sheets I got, which are higher thread count and harder than my old sheets. I think his claws don't dig in as much so it's not as satisfying, maybe.

But, you want to protect the sheets and duvet, too.

The solution is to keep the cats out of the bedroom. Good luck.
