I’ve been wanting one of these for a few months now and managed to pick one up in the roughly 17 minutes they were available at Cafuné before selling out again. I’ve only pulled one shot so far and I messed up the grind size pretty bad but thought I’d try anyway, and it still turned out pretty good! I know this will make incredible espresso once I dial in grind size, I just need to get there first. It was also a genuine pleasure to use. I’m completely obsessed with this machine now and am so excited to play with it some more.
My grinder isn’t great at the espresso range but I’ve got a new one coming in soon (DF54) that should hopefully work much better. No idea when that’s supposed to arrive.

Seriously, though. How is it? I mean, I know the hype, I've read the user reviews and all, but is it actually as good as it sounds in paper?
I got it from dfgrinders.ca, they were great. Lots of communication. They also offer an upgraded red titanium burr set that I got which is really nice. Sort of a budget SSP option in the 54mm size.
I’ve only done 3 grinds with it so far but it’s been good. It’s really heavy, in a good way. I don’t have it dialed in yet, so it’s hard to comment on cup quality, but build quality is really good. It definitely feels very premium.
