Yeah how ARE we gonna know. That's a question that bothers me.
No matter what someone believes, the scientific consensus seems to align with it being all the brain, yet they have no ethical qualms about simulating them as in depth as possible and dropping them in fake hell.
I mean, I don't believe it's just the brain but I think it's pretty fucking unethical for people to do this shit thinking it is all the brain. I also think we crossed some MAJOR boundaries when they did the brain box shit with organic human neurons... in boxes...
Honestly we should have stopped fucking with neural nets a long time ago. Capitalism just wants v2 plastic slaves.
