Such as? If I take out an evil tech CEO now I've radicalized the right to violence more, and other evil guy #27589 is sitting there waiting to take his place, and I've ruined my life and my families lives. Everything that would land me in jail has positives and negatives for everyone. Sitting out a pointless war in jail has no negative consequence except on the individual.
