xdg portal here is not gnome or gtk, it's kde it the screenshot are

  • waybar
  • alacritty
  • btop
  • zed
  • dolphin

also installed are

  • mako
  • fuzzel
  • and kde apps

Not wayland. With x11, you have many options.

Of course waybar is for Wayland, but maybe Wayland isn't the best choice
