Kitkat has always been associated with American culture, not Swiss or British culture. Also, just because a company name is French, does not mean it is a French company with French headquarters.

L'Oreal was an American company that sold common and affordable skin moisturizing creams, in pharmacy stores like CVS. It was not a French cosmetics company..
