The Origin of the Family is great, but we've got a lot of new data since 19th century, so many claims were revised.
Which part is outdated? I'm guessing it's the part about cannibalism.
The parts about matriarchal society were based on a very spurious analysis, and we actually don't know anything about that time period, not even if it actually was real, for example.
