I had Earthworm Jim, some platformer where you're a clockwork knight toy, a 3-player smash-em-up called something like Three Dirty Dwarves, and the dinosaur fighting game Primal Rage. It's probably ass but I have a lot of nostalgia for Primal Rage, ha. I've gone back to listen to the soundtrack on occasion.

Wasn't there one where you had to jump and catch stuff?

My family had a Saturn way back in the 90s. I remember my favorite games being Panzer Dragoon, Knights into Dreams, and Dragon Force.

Oh right. I don't think anyone I knew had the Saturn.

Was it a lot more than the rest of the stuff going around then? I have no idea what 40,000 yen was worth in 1994.

A few years before that I had one friend with a Turbografx 16. Earlier still someone else had a Commodore 64 and there was even one guy with a ColecoVision.

7 on the top 10 most expensive consoles. Of that Era only the Neo Geo, CDi, and 3DO were more expensive. And those are notoriously expensive consoles.

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

I did know one kid with the CDi. Too bad it was expensive, that thing was pretty jank in general
