and this is why I couldnt give a single fucking shit about any law that says bikes cant be on sidewalks/must be on roads or whatever.
because every fucking car is a hostile, imminent threat to a person on a bike.
And even the sidewalk isnt that safe, I've personally been on a sidewalk that had 4 feet of grass between me and the road and STILL have had assholes swerve through the verge to try and scare me/knock me down/make me crash/whatever their sociopathic intent.
edit: and yes, it was by an asshole in a truck. Its almost always an asshole in a truck.
They need tire punching dividers. It could be bollards that would be fine if a person hits them but would crack under the weight of a car to reveal a nice nail spike.
No, just put a goddamn wall in. large enough so a vehicle cant roll over it, thick enough so a vehicle cant crash through it, and heavy enough so an impact cant push it.
Last thing i wanna do is deal with an asshole who suddenly had their tires blow up and lose all control
In many european countries. The bollards are either steel og concrete. Works like a charm.
