Overview:

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

Every time someone mentions something like that, I just ask them if they use their truck to haul something more than once a month. You can rent a pickup truck from Uhaul for a day for $20. Some Home Depot and Lowe's locations also offer truck rentals. Unless you're using that truck to haul something at least weekly, it doesn't really make sense to drive that gas guzzler all the time compared to basically anything else.

We need utes to come back as small electric vehicles. The slate truck is a move in the right direction, but I also want a lower profile version like an el camino layout which could get better mileage at speed with a very low and accessible bed. Heck, something slightly larger than a BRAT would be neat for doing the small scale stuff where washing out a bed is preferable to having stinky stuff in a hatchback.
