Hey everyone,

I got the Hitman Part 1 game on Steam a while ago for free I think but now I want the full game. Hitman: World of Assassination is on sale right now. Aside from the DLC's, would I get everything else with that edition? Is there a better option if I already have Part 1? I mainly ask because steam is alerting me that I already have a copy of Hitman which makes me wonder if there's a cheaper way to complete the game?

This... would just get me to not buy this game at all. Maybe sail the high seas, but even that is more support of such practices that shouldn't be supported.

It did quite genuinely get me to not buy the game and just get The Alters instead at the time I was considering it. Fantastic game, absolutely worth the cost of not buying Hitman.

Oh shit I remember having to do that on PlayStation before they mad WoA... Damn, gotta do it all over again for steam... Thanks for the link!

That guide is out of date, I think. It's simpler now, and almost like a normal game.

This image is linked on the Steam Store page, annoyingly hidden below the 007 First Light advert, and lists which levels are included in which edition.

The Standard Edition, that's on sale right now, includes the modern (base game) Hitman 1-3 levels, plus some Hitman 1 DLC stuff (like Patient Zero campaign). The Deluxe Edition, that's not on sale, adds some DLC levels and missions. Special missions with Eminem or the new one with Snoop Dogg are separate DLC. Standard Edition + Deluxe Pack DLC would get you the Deluxe Edition for like 50% off, although you could just get the Deluxe upgrade later down the line of course.

Something I always found shitty is, that you can't upgrade from Hitman Part 1 to the Standard Edition, without essentially buying the levels again.

Yeah so that's the calculation I was trying to do. If I get the on sale version now, then the upgrade to deluxe, how much does that save. So you kind of did the for me, thanks!

The other wrinkle is I played a lot of WoA on PlayStation. I have the deluxe edition on there plus some of the dlc but not all. Do I need to own package parity before cross progression will work? Haven't looked into that yet.
