Gender-nonconforming cisgender lesbian, gay, bisexual and queer employees were also more likely to be out at work. About two-thirds [68 percent] said they were out as lesbian, gay, bisexual or queer to their supervisor, compared with 50 percent of gender-conforming employees.

Well yeah, doh, when you are different, when you stand out, you're more visible and more at risk of being seen by assholes, and those we unfortunately have everywhere

I'm not trying to diminish this, just saying it's not surprising at all. I hope that, with more visibility, we get more normalized in society and with that, the need to bully will also go down
