When Anna's Archive suffered widespread downtime earlier this month, many users feared a legal crackdown. Instead, the site was reportedly targeted by a coordinated assault on its network infrastructure. Just as it did after facing $340 million in damages and losing several domains earlier this year, the Archive quickly bounced back.

I hope they survive. They have an insane amount of books that might be near impossible to find today. I was trying to purchase old European comics that I read when I was a kid. French, Belgian, Spanish comics from the Heavy Metal, Metal Hurlant times and so on...

Quite a few have gone out of print for a long while, with a single issue sometimes selling used for over 100US, and not in very...minty condition (they're old, after all). But they have good scans of them in Anna's. I downloaded a few I can't purchase anymore...and I'm going to go to a print shop to get them custom print.
