After seeing the leaks, I can now understand the panic. This can result in a lot of hype going away and cancelled pre-orders due to the fact that it just looks like another GTA game and not some miracle that many tried to portray.

Probably a reason they started pre-orders before showing gameplay.

Manage your expectations people.

Imagine the legal theory of their case against the leakers. "Members of the jury, these leaks caused my client to experience irreparable economic harm when they showed what a piece of shit this game was instead of allowing my client to hoodwink nostalgia driven nerds for an undoubtably countless number of pre-orders."
