I was chess club in middle school, but I do not like chess anymore either as there much better board games to play. I was just in the club because I was bored and taught myself how to play it by researching it online. Chess is supposed to be good for teaching strategy and problem solving skills, but really there are way better ways of doing so from video games or much more modern board games.
eh i disagree, a lot of board games involves a dice (or another way to randomize the game) which reduces them to gambling imo (tho maybe there's still some tactics to them), other than that there's like domino and checkers, which i find too simple idk (i suck at them)
I meant like DnD. I never played DnD, I know people that play board games like DnD and stuff like that which is more about creative thinking. Sorry for the confusion.
i played it once with strangers online 5 or 6 years ago and it was really fun, i miss it so much, nobody i know is really interested in it and i grew out of meeting people online
have you tried go? I fucking suck at go but its supposed to be harder than chess.
just tried playing go and it's so hard, maybe the online bots i just played against are too good
