I don't even need a campaign. If my local Colesworth gets AI facial recognition, I'll happily go to the next suburb. We're spoiled in Perth - between Aldi and Spud Shed, I can pretty-much avoid Colesworth if I like. Spud Shed is a bit of a hike, but I'd do it if my choices were that or a complete lack of privacy - particularly on the kids. These stores already know too much about me with their loyalty cards, that's a deal I make to save $10 every few weeks.
The AI stuff gives me nothing - and the kids can't really give consent to be surveiled.
I've thought about wrapping a 5050 IR led rope light around my head to wash out the cameras.
You might stand a new trend!
You're lucky you have choice. I live in a regional area which is over 8,000 sq kms in size and has three largish supermarkets, IGA, Woolworths & Aldi, in the main regional town and all the other smaller towns have a small supermarket each. Woolworths is the only store that sells organic produce. You would think it would be easier to get organic produce in a produce-growing area (that you can trust is actually organically grown) but it is not. I like to at least have some fresh organic food in my diet for a heap of reasons and I don't grow enough myself to be self-sufficient so I have to visit Woolworths.
We really do need a campaign.
