I bought a CRT tv in 1994 in Walmart. It stayed on probably 14 hours a day since my wife and I slept with it on. 24/7 sometimes as we later used it to keep the dogs company. We finally retired it in 2009 because the screen was a bit dark. It didn't last 50 years, but 15 years of continues, non-stop service is something I cannot deny. Obviously it had better sound than these flat panel TVs since it actually had speakers.

I wonder if repair shops were still a thing, if itbwas repairable.
