I agree with you.
I know a 30 year old who joined the military in response to 9/11. At that time both Democrats and Republicans supported the war efforts. Guy wasn't the brightest, but also wasn't the dumbest.
I know a 30 year old engineer and Mormon that joined the military this year. He joined after the US invaded Venezuela but before we invaded Iran. On a personal level I hope he survives, but realistically I hope his kill count to death ratio is below 1:1. Dudes a fucking idiot, and at best naive as fuck, nice enough guy, but evil for joining the fight for pedophilia.
Sorryabout your idiot, but I hope substantial portions of him never come home.
I mean totally fair. He's not someone I'll be interacting with again, and I certainly won't be sympathizing with his woes.
Best case for society is missing enough limbs it can't abuse a partner, sterile, and parked in front of solid works for tool company so that education's not a waste.
