Im not sure what the stat is now, but I remember a couple of years back it was an average of 24 a year in the US? Saying "school shootings every year" makes it feel like a bit of an understatement

Granted this has a broad description for "school shootings".
Although 2025 had improved. In 2023 it averaged out to just under 1 shooting a day.

School doesn't operate 352 days per year, so it was greater than a daily occurrence.
