Bo Xilai.

They don't need such severe penalties to get rid of political opponents. But of course where you stand on the case will depend on your trust in government and giving them the power to execute people will really depend on that as well.

I think that even if you trust the government there is always possibility of a mistake and you can't undo an execution.
