Which is weird. Americans have been telling me for the last couple decades they live in the most free, best country in the world so I'm confused

America is still the freest country, bar none.

I'm not trying to defend America here, but rather put into perspective how every other nation is considerably more restrictive and needs to step up their game!

In my experience, the American exceptionalism is bipartisan even if you guys don't realise you're doing it. The propaganda runs deep
