leftists always take the wrong stance on shit like this.
don't get me wrong, i think everyone should have access to clean water.
but, it's a trope of american culture to call people whiny, entitled pieces of shit--usually the most vulnerable members of society.
throw it back at them.
my take on his situation is this: "don't do the crime if you can't do the time."
he's some alpha male, huh. i drank dirty water for years growing up in detroit. grow a pair, bro.
I felt this way ten years ago.
Now? If we stand up for them they get out and a crush life while they jail and do the same to our people.
Fuck him. He can rot in the jails he wanted for everyone else.
I don't want to stand up for him, I want to stand up for prisoners as a whole. It's ok that his conditions improve if everyone elses do too, just like a bunch of other vile pieces of shit would have better conditions. And no one remotely on the left is going to rally behind him specifically.
But it does mean that him crying about it changes nothing because my stance has been the same before.
