I used to have a BS job, they were called poverty traps back then, working in the service industry. Irregular working times, working late, sleeping even later. What I benefitted from my work was, walking all day kept me physically in good shape and facing thousands of people helped get over some anxiety issues. Not a very healthy place to stay, company went bust 'quelle surprise', but long before got my severance, I had a side-job that earned some serious savings, that allowed me to get a real job.
The progress of my current work is measurable, in pay, responsibilities, and difficulty. oh and compliments, especially when coworkers are drunk.
The one..2 things I miss: 1 burned calories, so didn't got fat. 2 a majority of women, despite hints flying at cruising altitude over my head. I stopped overthinking, and be less weird.
