So big today looms Adolf Hitler in the minds of Europe’s statesmen that Der Führer’s habit of always picking Saturday as the time suddenly to throw his weight about has caused the Continent’s major stock exchanges to remain closed every Saturday—just in case the No.1 Nazi should upset prices.

Wait, people didn't know this? This is the original reason why stock exchanges are closed on the weekends. The European exchanges stopped doing Saturday trading because of Hitler's stock manipulation, and then the US followed suit in 1952 when none of the European exchanges reopened Saturday trading after the war ended.

I think the reason Americans might not know how closely Trump has been following Hitler's playbook for the last decade is because they just don't know anything about the playbook.
