not true, plenty of others as well. canada uses all 3 for example

Canada officially uses YY-MM-DD, and while MM-DD is used due to American influence, it's discouraged due to potential confusion unless you're writing out the month. No other country besides the US anywhere worldwide uses MM-DD as a primary standard.
