MODERATORS
I adore sdv....but that looks not great. The 2D models just turning with the player camera is jarring. I hope it's just not for me and other people enjoy it knowing that the modders put in a ton of effort to bring this to life.
The incredibly-short article explains the developers intend to add models, and that they were using billboarded sprites as a proof of concept.
There's a game called Sulfur that does their npcs this way, and honestly after 2 minutes you don't even notice.
It made me throw up in my mouth a lil bit.
