It's pathetic that they didn't even read the wiki page on socialism before declaring themselves to be against it. They don't seem to be aware of market socialism and mixed economies. If they truly had the best interests of their constituents in mind, they would perform basic research before ruling out entire economic philosophies.
No offense to Americans but i find them insular as if no other ideas exist if it is not from the US. I don't blame ordinary Americans because they are conditioned by corporate media that ultimately cater to the capitalist narrative.
