When The Simpsons started it was believable that you could raise a family of 5 and own a house on one blue collar salary.
Bro is a nuclear safety inspector. That's not exactly a blue collar job.
It was 6 years into the show (95) when they revealed his actual salary.
Still can. Just not that house. If you consider roof and structurally sound floor boards to be optional extras then you could easily do it! At least in some parts of the country. If it's London you will want a couple million.
