My grandparents have Synology NAS, what would you deploy for their use? (lemmy.ml)

They have Synology NAS, but they wait when I set up some stuff. They have images on one of the drives and we were able to display via network on old tv, but I feel like more stuff could be added.

They talked about cameras in the future too.

I run Immich, along side about 10 other services, on my DS420+, and it runs great imo. The initial import of all my photos (40,000+) did take a long time but now that it's up and running it's more than quick enough.
