Absolutely Rickman visibly enjoys roles where he can just be unhinged and I so very much enjoy watching him in all his roles.

it's a pity he never played Valmont on film - seems like the ultimate Alan Rickman character in many ways

Rickman with blonde hair? Hum... didn't really work for me when he was Loki.
