Serves him right. He has no morals. No class. No ethics. He spent a full election season saying he was a "Never trump guy". So when trump called him up and said "You wanna be VP?" the respectable thing would have been to say "Yes, but not with you. I'm a never trump guy".

He didn't do that. He said "YES SIR!!! WHERE ON YOUR ASS WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO KISS, SIR???"

And this is where he is today.

They'll 25th Trump's ass as soon as it doesn't count as a presidential term for vance, if he pulls the trigger now, this will count as a full term and in his (and peter thiels) mind he thinks he'll win two full terms after Trump's done

Yeah, fully expect to see that February 2027 suddenly they decide Trump isn't fit for office.

So when trump called him up and said "You wanna be VP?" the respectable thing would have been to say "Yes, but not with you. I'm a never trump guy".

I disagree with this. The respectable thing would be to say yes, but also that you're not just going to be a yes-man. Take the role and push the administration in the right direction. Trump wouldn't accept this, so that would never happen, but it would be the best thing to do, but effectively it'd be saying no.

I guess an alternative is to say yes, wait until you're locked in, and then do the right thing and push back. I don't think there's any mechanism, besides impeachment or murder, to change the VP after the election. Get your foot in the door, and then shove the door open. Vance doesn't have the balls for this though, if he even actually disagrees with him. Him being anti-Trump was probably just a political move.

Vance was a big Project 2025 guy, any presidential candidate would do, so long as they could win. As soon as Trump was the only possible path to make it happen, Vance was there for it.
