This is the thing about driving. People complain about high gas prices, the price of new cars, and having to pay to park in places like downtown, but I think it is a positive thing if cars keep getting more expensive to own and operate.

These car companies are so greedy that they won't care if they pass the threshold of peoples ability to pay. If the majority of people can't afford a car then that will force a change to our car centric lives greater then any social movement could.

I already see so many people biking and taking escooters. Feels like trains are getting busier too. Just a few years ago it seemed like people could not imagine not driving everywhere, but now affordability is really starting to change that thinking.
