❗️Lockheed Martin unable to guarantee Patriot missile deliveries to US allies
Expand
Lockheed Martin cannot guarantee when US allies will receive Patriot interceptor missiles despite plans to significantly increase production, according to the Financial Times. Brian Dunn, the company's vice president for missiles and fire control, said allocation decisions are controlled by the Pentagon, which is currently reassessing delivery priorities amid growing demand and ongoing conflicts. The company plans to expand PAC-3 missile production from 650 annually to 2,000 by 2033 under a $4.7 billion Pentagon agreement. However, Dunn said Lockheed Martin has no control over which countries receive missiles first, leaving allies including Germany, Japan, Poland, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia uncertain about future deliveries. Financial Times reported that demand has surged amid mounting pressure on global air defense stockpiles.
