Now when they do that, reply to them with the same intonation and hand gestures, but in base 2 or 8 or 16.

This is what dad jokes are for, making children annoyed by their own jokes, to the point of cessation.

I just get it wrong on purpose and call it six times seven. There’s nothing worse than a parent trying to join in but not getting the thing to begin with.

Pretty sure my parents did that with me as well, so it must be a tradition.
