americans did nothing to nazis (except in WW2 maybe)
Infact the nazi ideology was inspired from establishment of america and ethnic cleansing of its indigenous population.
To take this even further, the Nazis had sent officials to the US to study their racial laws, but found that they were too extreme and too inconsistent to be used as a complete road map. Someone could be jailed or fined in the US for being 1/4 black, 1/8, or having “one drop” (aka some identifying physical feature - I can only imagine the inaccuracies there). The Nazis were more lenient (!!) - presumably because many of them wanted to ensure they would themselves not be subject to these laws, but they were looking for consistency in application
