Similar things can be said about the liquor store guy. He's either a snooty guy who mistakes a sky-high opinion of his own tastes as expertise or he's people-pleasing salesman who just says "excellent choice" no matter what.

Also, the liquor store guy doesn't give two fucks what the stuff does to you in the long term.

*Edit: Let me rephrase that last part: The main reason the liquor store guy is less critical of your choices than the others is that he doesn't give a fuck what happens to you.
