I agree with your sentiment but I like these posts for a strategic reason: Bezos intends for his statements to bolster support, but his strategy is falling flat. Support for AI is either level or declining, and anger over its harm is growing. Bezos reveals the extent to which he is out-of-touch. I think his statements actually inflame opposition to AI: his propaganda is motivating his opponents while leaving his supporters indifferent. When I upvote Bezos quotes, I am thinking to myself, 'hey everybody, get a load of this asshole!' I am definitely not upvoting him because I think his claims have merit or that they will convert people to support AI.

He isn't losing though. Him and his fellow oligarchs have never been so rich and influential.

I know. But he's trying to do damage control. He's aware of how he's perceived, and he's worried.
