There's definitely a threshold between "want" and "need" that separates the sickly rich from everyone else.
When we have nothing, we need to grow to meet our needs.
When we have something, we need to grow to maintain our needs.
When we have enough, we need to grow to ensure our needs will remain met.
When we have plenty, it's sick to reach for everything.
Healthy cells and cancerous cells will both consume, grow, and multiply when conditions call for it. What sets cancer apart from a healthy cell is that it ignores the signal to stop.
so human beings are cancer. yeah that's the typical ecology take.
