How did the US or any countries founding fathers come up with a democracy? The couldn't have pulled it out of thin air..was it a plan long before they came to the state? (lemmy.world)

Hundreds years of political philosophy, experience from similar processes happening in other countries, and pressure from other involved parties. They didn't exactly invent it.
