Autotools Integration: It builds seamlessly with Autotools (autoconf + automake).

Translation Ready: gettext scaffolding has been included so user-visible strings can be translated in the future (note: no translations are currently shipped in this release).

Classic Symlinks: The installation provides vi, with ex and view as symbolic links to vi (view is equivalent to vi -R for read-only mode).

sounds like emacs. lol
