I just watched the final 90 min long good omens final (S1 was a version of the Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett book, S2 was a beloved extension, S3 was canned when NG was plausibly accused of being a total creep.). S3 got saved as a 90m one episode without NG. Without spoilers I loved it. It felt like the PTerry estate was quite involved because it was funny and sweet. There was a nice nod to Terry Pratchett in one scene that had me in tears.
Went to Reddit after...oh boy...some fandoms are...not great...it's kinda sad when people get so involved in stuff they need it to be a certain way to validate themselves or something?? I forget because I am so selective in what I engage with.
Anyway just needed somewhere nice to think my thougts
awesome, it's one of Miss Seagoon's fave shows
yeah, reddit can be so negative , it's like perfection is demanded, anything not a personal preference is damned
it's like simple enjoyment is no longer enough 🤷‍♀️
I have lived long enough to want nothing more than simple enjoyment! And i love David Tennant. And could see that good people wanted to tell as good a story as possible. That's enough. Hope your daughter loves it
Eh don’t worry about the keyboard warriors. For all you know they could be bots or 14 year old kids. If you enjoyed it, that’s good and a nice feeling. I haven’t seen the show. But I get it’s conflicting when a creator turns out to be a putrid human. Example, Michael Jackson’s music still makes me want to get up and dance, but the kids stuff… so awful. I dunno. I think we are allowed to hold both thoughts. The art is good, but the person wasn’t.
