Everything can't appeal to everyone all the time and that's ok. For me, playing Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild at 60fps was worth it. I loved Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Cyberpunk 2077 and Donkey Kong Bananza. I enjoyed Metroid Prime 4 too, I haven't tried it on the Switch 1, but it looks and runs amazing on the Switch 2.
I do agree the design of the Switch 2 is very conservative, even compared to the colored joycons of the first one. But that's what made sense to them to make after the success of Switch 1. There's still some quirkiness there with the mouse controls and the Virtual Boy accessory (whether this last one is worth it or not, is a different discussion, and also the ownership of the games...). They didn't have to do a reproduction of one of their biggest flops so you can play it with the Switch, yet they did.
The Game Cube is awesome, quirky and looks amazing, but it didn't sell well at the time.
They've been on a cycle, they're the most creative when they're not doing well (Game Cube to Wii, Wii U to Switch). I don't believe they'll just go into PlayStation mode and keep releasing Nintendo Switch 3, 4, but we'll see.
It's fine if the Switch 2 is not for you. Maybe eventually a new 3D Mario or a new Zelda will get you excited, maybe you're over Nintendo and that's ok. But for some of us, the Nintendo Switch 2 has a lot going for it and we're really enjoying it.
