Ha ha, yeah that's why, progress in negotiations.

It has nothing to do with the ships they tried escorting getting hit with missiles just two days back. 2 of them, then a 3rd South Korean flagged one not trying to cross with no one on it had a fire.

Iran also hit infrastructure on the port of al-fujayrah, in the gulf of Oman, the go around the UAE has used to bypass the straits to a degree. Iran is now claiming control of the gulf of Oman as well.

The president has no cards to play.
