Kerala has the highest human development index in India. They have the highest literacy rate and free housing in the country. But let's face it, you still need money. There aren't really much jobs in Kerala and families are leaving to go abroad (I don't know about you guys but that explains why so many Indian immigrants I met are from Kerala). There are free houses but they are left empty, and older people are becoming the biggest demographic in the state.

I haven't paid much attention to Indian politics but I've always wondered if the socialist government in Kerala would last long. I also never heard anyone from Kerala express what they think of their socialist government. Now this news answers my questions.
