She asked him about his controversies instead of pandering and throwing easy questions. Every reporter or interviewer who has ever had the misfortune to have to interview him has been met with hostility for asking "difficult" questions. If you're not praising him, you're a horrible liar out to hurt his "stunning" reputation.

I mean, in this case in particular, she simply read him the shooter’s manifesto and asked him what he thought about it. Trump’s knee-jerk reaction is to defend himself because he’s committed so many bad acts.

Yeah. I mean, he could just have said that it was the lies of a madman and leave it at that. But no, he has to do the moronic thing and show that it gets to him.
