What exactly do you think the lie is? That he's not living his dream and secretly hates living in China? 1000USD for rent seems high, he must be in the middle of Shanghai or something. I'm in Guangzhou right now btw.

On Lemmy? No. That’s the cheap 50¢ people.

I’m at my brother’s house. His girlfriend lived in China (Tianjin) for 25 years. I showed her this and her only response was, “my ass.”

Don’t worry, she hates America too.

I spent a couple nights in Tianjin last year, coming from SK.

It seemed like a nice enough city, nearly as clean as Beijing or any japanese city. What didn't she like about it?
