None of the Democratic candidates running to replace outgoing California Governor Gavin Newsom gave him below a B-minus grade on combating homelessness, a moment that Republicans sharing the debate stage on Wednesday evening called a laughable evaluation of the state’s problem.

"My goodness, of course it's an F," Republican candidate Steve Hilton, a former Fox News host, said.

"It shames our state, the situation with homelessness. We have about 10% of the U.S. population, around 50% of the country's homeless."

I mean yeah I would definitely not give Gavin Newsom a good grade on homelessness. However the 50% argument stupid when the homeless population in California is in large part due to its weather and even larger part due to Republican states busing their homeless to California.

I do not know about whether there are Republicans consciously bussing them, though. I think they are given money to facilitate them leaving, say, Lincon, Nebraska or Pierre, South Dakota, and they choose to go to LA instead of Omaha for the same reason anyone chooses to go to LA than Omaha.

But... Having said that... It is certainly the case that conservatives have sent illegal immigrants to places like Martha's Vineyard before, and it was hilarious.
