Victoria's free public transport continues in May with half-price fares to follow (www.abc.net.au)

The Victorian government is extending its free public transport initiative for another month to include May.

Public transport fares across both metro and regional networks will then be half price from June 1 until the end of the year.

The initiative will cost about $432 million.

there's a lot of people who want door to door public transport, that's just not feasible
