Like the other comment: unspoilered apider is bad. I agree that spiders are nice "self sustaining pets" (and i think they cute) but please dont scare people because someone olse rubbed you the wrong way. Fear is sadly an AOE attack

It's a thread about bugs, calm down.

Replying with an unspoilered image of a spider to what is quite possibly an arachnophobic declining spiders seems like a bit of a dick move

I think you're reading way too much into a parrot reaction gif.

[–] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 0 points 1 week ago

Bit of an over reaction given the whole thread is about bug you like in your house. Calm down please.

Ill do inside, they can do outside real good to keep them out. Teamwork.

Maybe because it was for the stricter definition of bugs?

[–] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 15 points 1 week ago (2 children)

One of the dictionary definitions for "bug" is:

A small invertebrate with many legs, such as a spider or a centipede.

How could you be opposed to this little guy? image

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yes, but definitions are ordered by their frequency, and the one I saw listed that usage as third. Technically...

And I love spiders. They're the cats of the bug world.

[–] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 3 points 1 week ago

True, still listed in official definition.

Spiders are welcome to the basement. Currently I've got one posted in pretty much every corner down there. Those guys are chill.

I'm also okay with out of the way corner spiders up near ceilings, but only if they aren't too big.
