The cool thing about voting is that it's not mutually exclusive with any other action.
You can assassinate a Nazi, cast a vote, join a protest, and burn a Tesla dealership down all in one day.
So... vote. It's easy and super low risk. Do whatever else you think will make an impact too - but in addition to voting, not in lieu of. And I don't just mean the big elections - voting a Nazi off of your local school board or w/e is going to make a bigger impact to your community than any dipshit in DC.
It may not fix the country by itself, but it's a tool in the box that we need to use every resource from that we can.
Exactly. A lot of people thought Orban cannot be defeated in elections after ruling Hungary for 16 years straight, yet he just conceded. He had everything on his side: billions spent on state propaganda, intelligence services spying on opposition, Russian misinformation campaigns, gerrymandered districts, etc. But when 4 of 5 people cast their votes, with a large part of them being against you, he probably thought he would rather give up peacefully, than face the wrath of the people.
Democracy works if we make it work. Voting is a big part ot it, but as you say, a lot of other things can be done in parallel.
Replacing 1 fascist for another is not progress.
